The 10th International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation was held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 September - 2 October 2009 and was a huge success. Attracting 681 international and Australian delegates, the conference remains the largest and most important forum for synchrotron radiation science and technology communities. International collaboration amongst delegates from around the world was further enhanced by presentations from a stellar line up of plenary and invited speakers prompting a dynamic exchange of new ideas & techniques amongst the worlds synchrotron science communities. Message from Robert Lamb Director Australian Synchrotron and SRI09 Conference Chair All indications are that SRI09 has truly been a success. This conference provided an opportunity for Australian researchers to be part of an international exchange of ideas as well as an opportunity to showcase our facility to the world. I thank all delegates for their participation and contributions to both formal and informal discussions and for making this conference a major success. We look forward to building on friendships established or renewed during this conference to create stronger links with the international synchrotron community. |
